Welcome to Pohutukawa!

Welcome back to Paremata School. For those of you who are here for your first time, we are sure you will love your time here at Paremata School with Caroline, Mrs Arrowsmith, Ms Burn and Mrs Pupuke. We hope everyone has had a great holiday and are feeling rested and ready for some fun learning!

During the holiday period Paremata School has decided to make the names of our syndicates and classes more attractive. All teaching teams have been re-named after native trees. The Junior Syndicate will now be known as Pohutukawa. We thought it was such a warm and familiar tree to have as a symbol for the youngest pupils in our school. We have pohutukawa trees on the premises for children to view. The other school syndicates, in order of year level, will now be known as: Kowhai, Kauri and Kahikatea.

Here are the new Pohutukawa class names. Room 1A is now Miromiro and Room 1B will be known as Kotare. Room 2 is Tui, Room 3 is Ruru and Room 4 is now Korimako.

Here are some images of our tree and birds:
