FENCE PAINTING IN RUMA KOTARE!

Ruma Kotare have been busy over the last few weeks making one of the gardens near the playground into a more bright and wonderful garden. We started work on our garden after we discovered that it wasn't a very nice home for one of our class visitors, Sticky the stick insect (see our before photo below!).

We have weeded the garden, pruned it with the help of Luka's Dad and cleared all the rubbish out. Our latest work has been painting the fence.

PAINTING THE FENCE
First we each made our own fence painting plan, then we sat down together, shared our ideas and collaborated to come up with something everyone agreed on. We had to vote for each picture idea that went on the fence.

On Monday, we finally got a sunny day so we started on our painting - have a look at our amazing work so far!! A big thank you to Alannah's Mum who came along and helped us out. 
Our next job is putting down new soil and planting beautiful plants!

In The Weekend by Oliver

In the weekend Frank came to my house and then we went to Laser Force. Frank and I had laser guns. We had lots of fun time.

The Zoo By Emily

I went to the Zoo by the Tryathlon.  First I saw an Otter. Then I saw a kiwi and a tuatara. Then I saw some baby monkeys and then in another cage I saw the leader monkey. He was a bit bigger one with a big white and furry part above his face. Then I saw twelve penguins. They were gathered by the pool trying to get food from someone's hands. 

I saw lions and tigers and then giraffes and gorillas and chimpanzees. Then dingos and porcupines. Then I saw meerkats! Then cheetahs. Then I saw pigs, sheep and chickens. One ate my cracker! It was a chicken flavoured cracker. Then we went to the ice cream shop. I got mint and my mum did too and my brother got a chocolate ice cream.

Edward  is soft like a cloud and  he has a bow. Edward  is a very, very cool bear. Everyone likes Edward!

Tadpoles by Mackenzie

I  had a tadpole once and in 10 days it  turned  into  a  frog. It was first in an egg and then it had front legs and in five weeks it had back legs and in 12 weeks it had a front and it was a frog. It laid eggs.  

Mini golf by Gray

Dad and me go to Mini Golf. Sometimes my sister plays but  she doesn't actually play. There are 18 stages. My favourite stage is Level 15 because it has 3 paths to get to the hole.

Eli's Story by Riley

Eli is lovely because he's very helpful to the school. He's the best caretaker. I hope you had a good time at Paremata School.

Tadpoles To Frogs by Janelle

First we get 3 Tadpoles. 

Second we put them in clean river water. 

Then it grows 2 front legs. 

Then it grows 2 back legs for paddles. 

The 4 legs are also for jumping.

It's tail gets smaller and smaller until it's nothing and then...... IT'S A FROG!!!

Once I had a dog. I like my dog  but now she is with  another family. l loved  her. She  is  with  another family and she has a little baby that can     fed her and can play with her. l love her... and     she  loves me to.

My Mum by Crystal

My Mum likes to cook and she is a fantastic driver but when she gets older she might need my   help. I love my mum and she loves me back. My Mum likes hugging people and she always will. My mum can do anything. She is nice.
